Sina Gerard / Entreprise URWIBUTSO is a leading Rwandan agro-processing company founded in 1983 by Dr. Sina Gerard. From humble beginnings as a small shop, the company has grown into a nationally recognised brand with international distributors. Today, its diverse product portfolio includes Agashya juices, Akabanga chili oil, Akarusho wines, Akanozo flours, Akandi natural mineral water, and hygiene products such as hand sanitisers and hand wash.

The company has been ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 22000:2005 certified since 2007, underlining its commitment to quality and food safety. Beyond production, Entreprise URWIBUTSO has a strong social impact: it empowers more than 3,000 local farmers with seeds, fertilisers, training, and guaranteed harvest purchases, while also running crop and livestock projects. In addition, the company invests in education and vocational training through the College Foundation Sina Gerard, supporting community development and skills growth.

Objectives at IATF 2025

At IATF 2025 in Algeria, our goals are to:

• Increase the international visibility of the Sina Gerard / Entreprise URWIBUTSO brand.
• Expand into new markets across Africa and beyond.
• Identify and connect with distributors interested in our diverse product lines.
• Explore eco-friendly packaging solutions for the Agashya juice line.
• Attract investment for modern industrial machinery to scale production.
