Hafide is a digital financial platform designed to help African micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) replace manual bookkeeping with a simple, secure, and localized digital solution. Founded in response to the 2022 Waheen Market fire in Hargeisa, which destroyed billions of dollars in assets and wiped out paper-based financial records, Hafide was created to prevent the loss of businesses' financial data.

The platform enables MSMEs to easily track their income, expenses, and customer debts while securely storing records in the cloud. It is mobile-friendly, easy to use, and tailored for local business needs and languages.

With over 2,500 MSMEs onboarded and users across 2 countries, Hafide is helping businesses improve their financial visibility, access credit, and prepare for growth, including participation in cross-border trade under the AfCFTA framework.
