She regularly advises companies on compliance with statutory and regulatory matters as well as corporate governance requirements. She regularly advises various multinationals on the framework for foreign direct investment and foreign portfolio investment in Nigeria. She is a NCMI and TRACE certified compliance officer for capital markets and AML/CFT/CPF..
She is an expert in conducting legal due diligence for complex commercial transactions. She was part of the team that advised a joint venture arrangement between the Nigeria government and a foreign satellite provider. She advises various donor funded organisations on issues regarding operations in Nigeria including restructuring options. She has participated in several incorporations, immigration formalities, restructuring of corporate organizations and acquisitions.
Rebecca is also an accredited insolvency practitioner, and has undertaking the winding up of various companies. As a regulatory compliance expert, she regularly processes regulatory approvals with several regulatory agencies.
As an International Trade Law expert, she was seconded by the Firm to the National Action Committee of the African Continental Free Trade Area (NAC-AfCFTA), now Nigerian AfCFTA Coordination Office, where she worked as the coordinator of the Business Service workstream and led stakeholders in the Professional Services, Health and Education Sectors of the Nigerian economy in contributing to the Nigerian AfCFTA strategy. She also assisted a UNECA appointed consultant in leading the work pool on the review of all Nigerian legislations in preparation for the implementation of the AfCFTA in Nigeria.
