Molatelo is a multiple international award-winning filmmaker and social entrepreneur. She is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bolobathaba Media Group; a film and digital media production company and academy with its head quarters in Tzaneen, Limpopo Province. Before venturing into business, Molatelo worked for broadcasters among others SABC, Australian Broadcasting Corporation Africa Bureau and eNCA. With 23 years of experience in the television and film industry, Molatelo honed her multiskilling, filmmaking skills while working as a news, current affairs and documentaries producer covering Sub-Saharan Africa, which earned her the UN Media Award in 2007.
She is the recipient of SAFTAs 2021 for Outstanding Provincial Contributor Award for her role in training and mentoring young filmmakers and digital content creators in rural South Africa. Her debut documentary feature film When Babies Don’t Come (2018) won several international awards, and a finalist in the Best Documentary category at Africa Movie Academy Awards held in Kigali, Rwanda. Molatelo wears many caps, some of them being an assessor and story consultant, where she spends time working with emerging filmmakers as a story consultant through National Film and Video Foundation and KZN Film Commission. She’s currently serving on Limpopo Arts and Culture Council, a statutory body of Limpopo DSAC as Chairperson of Film Sub-sector.
Her company Bolobathaba Media Group scooped 1st place in the Education Category at the Limpopo Business Awards 2024 in April 2025.
