Peter brings over 30 years of experience in finance and investment, having held senior roles in both African and international financial institutions. Most recently, he served as Co-Chief Investment Officer at FMO, the Dutch entrepreneurial development bank, where he focused on private equity, ESG, and emerging markets. Prior to FMO, Peter was the Africa Coverage Director at British International Investment (BII) in London, contributing to impactful transactions across Africa and South Asia.
Throughout his career, Peter has been instrumental in investments exceeding US$3 billion in sectors such as FMCG, infrastructure (including renewable energy), real estate, and TMT (including FinTech), utilizing a mix of debt, mezzanine, and equity instruments.
