As a formality examiner at ARIPO I am typically involved in the patent application process. My main role is to ensure that a patent application meets all formal requirements before it proceeds to substantive examination and, therefore, helping streamline the patent process by ensuring that only properly prepared applications move forward. This reduces delays and helps substantive examiners focus on the technical and legal merits of the invention.
