ChemChemAgro is reinventing beekeeping in the DR Congo by combining technological innovation, sustainability, and community inclusion. Through its brand “Miel du Volcan,” the company produces and markets ethical and traceable honey.
Its Api Connect platform integrates IoT sensors and artificial intelligence to monitor apiaries, optimize their management, and provide critical data on environmental conditions, pesticide risks, and best beekeeping practices. It also boosts sales of bee products, connects beekeeping stakeholders, and facilitates alerts on pesticides and other pests.
At the same time, ChemChemAgro is developing a teaching apiary that trains communities in modern and sustainable beekeeping, and a pollination nursery dedicated to honey and fruit trees to stimulate biodiversity and climate resilience.
To date, the company has trained 114 beekeepers, connected 1,410 producers, installed 600 modern hives, and deployed 50 sensors, making beekeeping a real driver of sustainable development in the DRCongo.
