Plange’s designs have been carried in luxury boutiques worldwide, from the U.S. to Kuwait and Qatar, and embraced by icons including Michelle Obama, Serena Williams, Rihanna, Regina King, and Janelle Monáe.
She has collaborated with global powerhouses including Manolo Blahnik, Nike Basketball and LeBron James, Roche Bobois, Instagram, and The Shade Store, bringing her visionary touch to fashion, interiors, and sport.
Plange is a two-time recipient of top honors at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week South Africa and was personally invited by Michelle Obama to the White House’s “Celebration of Design” in 2014. Her work has been acquired by major institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts Boston and displayed in exhibitions at FIT New York, SCAD Hong Kong, Spelman Museum, The Vancouver Art Gallery, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art.
Beyond the runway, Mimi is deeply committed to mentoring emerging talent. She has served as a style mentor for SCAD and the Creative Futures Collective at Soho House, and has worked with organizations like Let’s Get Ready and the Lighthouse Guild to support underrepresented voices in education and the arts.
