CANEX Book Factory Prize for Publishing in Africa Awards Ceremony

Now in its second year, CANEX invites publishers in Africa to submit published trade books for the CANEX Book Factory Prize for Publishing in Africa. A prize of $20,000 will be awarded to the publisher of the best trade book (includes books published for a general audience, including fiction, non-fiction, and poetry; excludes textbooks and academic books) published in the year in question. Additionally, 4 finalists will be awarded the amount of $2000 each. The prize will be presented during CANEX at IATF 2025. Submissions will be judged on the quality of writing, editing and production. Books printed and produced on the continent will be prioritized, as will books in languages indigenous to the continent.
